The Flag of Coesfeld, Germany, is the official symbol representing the city of Coesfeld, located in North Rhine-Westphalia. It consists of a white field divided into four quarters by a red cross, with a black eagle displayed in the center. The flag reflects the city’s history and affiliations, as the design originates from the coat of arms of the Lords of Coesfeld, who once ruled the area. The black eagle symbolizes strength and protection, while the red cross is thought to represent the Teutonic Knights or the County of Mark, historical powers that influenced Coesfeld. Today, the Flag of Coesfeld serves as a visual emblem for the city’s identity and civic pride.
