Flag of Kagoshima, Kagoshima, Japan The Flag of Kagoshima is the official emblem representing the prefecture of Kagoshima in southern Japan. Adopted on March 23, 1948, the flag features a white field with an upright red circle located centrally, approximately one-third from the hoist side and two-thirds from the fly side. The red circle, known as the “Seikan-maru,” is an ancient symbol associated with Satsuma Domain, the historical name for Kagoshima prefecture.
